Relationships-Fuel-your-Legal-Nursing-Business-600x300

Networking, networking, networking, it’s the most important aspect of your consulting practice. But what’s even more important than showing up to events and handing out your business cards, is the relationships you will make along the way.

I cannot stress the importance of making and retaining relationships. If you can walk into an event with the sole purpose of leaving there with 2-3 new friends, you will set yourself up for success. I have attended weddings, baby showers, and more for friends that I have made through my legal nurse consulting business. These relationships have helped grow my business exponentially.

When you shift your focus from “what can you do for me” to “how can I be of service to others” your business will grow, and in turn, so will your network.

Remember the importance of who you choose to associate with. You want to surround yourself with motivated, inspirational, and hard working individuals. A lot of the key players reside in groups that you may have to pay a little to be apart of, but some of these “secret” groups, are some of the best places for networking. Understand that you may have to give a little in order to get a little, but in time, when people see that your intentions are really to help others, the workflow and the referrals start to come.

There are actually many attorneys throughout my legal nursing career that have been ecstatic to take me under their wings and show me the ropes.

Get in good with a few key players, and they’ll have you speaking at events and sharing your services with hundreds.

Remember, people do business with people they KNOW, LIKE, AND TRUST, and you simply cannot establish that kind of relationship from behind a computer.

Getting out there and making friends, is the best and quickest way to grow a successful legal nursing practice. So get out there and start making friends today!
